Day 1 - Arrival in Colombo – Transfer to Kandy

Arrive at Colombo International Airport where you will be welcomed by an airport representative and chauffeur guide.
Proceed towards the cultural city of Kandy in an air-conditioned vehicle.
En route visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to over 100 rescued elephants where visitors can observe their feeding and bathing sessions.
Visit a traditional Spice & Herbal Garden and learn about Sri Lanka's renowned spices and Ayurvedic herbs.
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa), originally built by the Kandyan Kings in 1595 to enshrine the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. The temple is one of the reasons Kandy is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Optional visit to the Kandy Cultural Show, showcasing traditional Kandyan dances, fire performances, sword dancing and drumming.
