Day 1 - Arrival in Colombo – Journey to the Cultural City of Kandy

Arrive at Colombo International Airport, where you will be welcomed by an airport representative along with your designated chauffeur guide.
Complete the airport formalities before proceeding towards the beautiful city of Kandy in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
En route, visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to more than 100 rescued elephants where visitors can witness feeding and bathing sessions.
Continue with a visit to a traditional Spice & Herbal Garden, renowned for Sri Lanka's world-famous spices and Ayurvedic herbs including cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, saffron, sandalwood and many more.
Visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), originally built by the Kandyan Kings in 1595 to preserve one of Buddhism's most revered relics. The temple is one of the main reasons why Kandy has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the evening, you may choose to attend the optional Kandy Cultural Show, featuring traditional Kandyan dances, fire dancing and rhythmic drum performances.
