Day 1 - Arrival in Colombo – Pinnawala – Kandy

Arrive at Colombo International Airport where you will be welcomed by an airport representative and your designated guide.
Proceed towards Kandy in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to over 100 rescued elephants where visitors can witness their feeding and bathing sessions.
Visit a traditional Spice & Herbal Garden, famous for Sri Lanka's renowned spices and Ayurvedic herbs including cinnamon, pepper, ginger, nutmeg, saffron and sandalwood.
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa).
Originally built by the Kandyan Kings in 1595 to enshrine the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
The temple is one of the main reasons why Kandy is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Optional evening visit to the Kandy Cultural Show, showcasing traditional Kandyan dances, fire dancing and drumming performances.
