Day 01: NJP Railway
Station / Bagdogra
Airport-Kalimpong (3937 Ft / 1200 Mts / 75 Kms / 3½
-4 Hrs)
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport you
will be received by our
office executive who
will assist you to board
your vehicle to
Kalimpong. Upon arrival,
check-in at the hotel.
The evening is free for
leisure. Over night stay
at Kalimpong.
Day 02: Kalimpong
Sightseeing-Gangtok
(5500 Ft/ 1677 Mts / 85
km/ 3 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel you will be
taken for local
sightseeing of the town
which includes, tours of
Forest Museum (closed on
Thursday), Deolo Hill,
Hanuman Mandir, Dr.
Grahams Homes School, Durpin Monastery,
Dham and Pine View
Nursery (cactus only). Afterwards you will be
transferred to Gangtok.
Upon arrival, check-in
at the hotel. The
evening is free for
leisure. Over night stay
at Gangtok.
Day 03: Excursion to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir
(12400Ft / 3780 Mts /
43Kms / 3Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel
you will depart for full
day sight seeing of
Tshangu Lake and Baba
Mandir. (Nathu La Pass
to republic of China is
nearly 20 Kms and is an
optional tour). Return to Gangtok in the evening
for an overnight stay at
hotel.
Tshangu Lake:
is one of the most
popular destinations for
tourists; it is located
at 43 km from Gangtok.
The lake is about 1km
long, oval in shape, 15
metres deep and is
considered sacred by the
local people. This
placid lake remains
frozen during the winter
months. On the
way to the Lake, you
will enjoy beautiful
scenery and snow capped
mountains. The cool
water of the Lake is
perfectly attuned with
the scenic beauty around.
(In case of Land slide or any other reason
Tshangu Lake is closed
we will provide
alternate sightseeing).
Day 04: Gangtok
Sightseeing-Pelling
(6100 Ft/ 1860 Mts/ 116 Kms/ 5 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel you will depart for half day city
tour of Gangtok. This
includes Directorate of
Handicrafts and
Handlooms, Research
Institute of Tibetology,
Dro-drul Chorten
(Stupa, built by the
venerable Trulshi
Rimpoche, head of the
Nyingma order of Tibetan
Buddhism, in 1945),
Flower Show.
After sight seeing,
transfer to Pelling. The
evening is free for
leisure. Over night stay
at Pelling.
Pelling
-
located at a distance of
120 kms from Gangtok is
another serene, mountain
village which lies in
the western districts of
Sikkim. This village is
situated at an altitude
of approximately 2000
metres and commands a
spectacular view of Mt.
Kanchenjunga.
Day 05: Pelling
Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel you will be taken for full day
sightseeing. This
includes Rimbi Water
Falls, Rimbi Rock
Garden, Kechopalri
Lake (The
world Khachoedpalri
means The Wishing Lake.
It is one of the most
sacred and holy lakes
for the Buddhists),
Kechopalri Monastery Kanchenjunga Water
Falls, Pemayangtse
Monastery and Rabdentse
Ruins. Overnight stay at
Pelling.
Day 06: Pelling-Darjeeling
(7380 Ft / 2250 Mts /125
Km/5 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel you will be transferred to
Darjeeling. Upon
arrival, check-in at the
hotel. The evening is
free for leisure. Over
night stay at
Darjeeling.
Day 07: Darjeeling
Sightseeing.
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts)
at around 3:45 am for
viewing sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (if
the weather is
favorable), while
returning visit to Ghoom
Monastery, Peace
Memorial, and Batasia
Loop.
After breakfast at the
hotel you will depart
for Half day city tour
of Darjeeling. This
includes sight seeing at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan
Zoological Park,
Himalayan Mountaineering
Institute (closed on
Thursday), Ropeway,
Tenzing and Gombu Rock,
Tibetan Refugee
Self-Help Center (closed
on Sunday), Tea Estate,
Peace Pagoda. Overnight
stay at Darjeeling.
Day 08: Darjeeling-NJP
Railway Station /
Bagdogra Airport
(105 Kms / 3½-4 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel
transfer to NJP Railway
Station / Bagdogra
Airport for your onward
journey.
