Day 01: NJP Railway
Station / Bagdogra -
Darjeeling
(7380 Ft /2250 Mts, 105 Kms /3½-4
Hrs)
On arrival at NJP
Railway Station /
Bagdogra Airport you
will be received by our
office executive who
will assist you to board
your vehicle to
Darjeeling. Upon arrival
proceed for check-in at
hotel. The evening is
free for leisure.
Overnight stay at
Darjeeling.
Day 02: Darjeeling
Sightseeing.
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts)
at around 3:45 am for
viewing sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (if
the weather is
favorable), while
returning visit to Ghoom
Monastery, Peace
Memorial, and Batasia
Loop.
After breakfast at the
hotel you will depart
for Half day city tour
of Darjeeling. This
includes sight seeing at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan
Zoological Park,
Himalayan Mountaineering
Institute (closed on
Thursday), Ropeway,
Tenzing and Gombu Rock,
Tibetan Refugee
Self-Help Center (closed
on Sunday), Tea Estate,
Peace Pagoda. Overnight
stay at Darjeeling.
Day 03: Darjeeling
Sightseeing – Mirk
Excursion
(5800 Ft / 1768 Mts / 60 Kms /1½
- 02 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Mirik via Pashupati
Nagar, Indo-Nepal Border
through picturesque
roads. (Extra vehicle
charges will be
applicable for Nepal
Border to Pasupati
Market for shopping and
recreation). Return to
Darjeeling in the
evening and overnight
stay at hotel in
Darjeeling.
Mirik:
A small sleepy town
built around the 1.25
kilometer long man made
Sumendu Lake. The
pristine lake is
surrounded by high
forested hills, tea
gardens, orange orchards
and cardamom
plantations.
Horse riding & Boat is
available around the
lake on direct payment
basis.
Day 04:
Darjeeling-Kalimpong
Sightseeing (3937 Ft / 1200 Mts /65 Kms / 03
Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel you will depart for Kalimpong.
On arrival you
will be taken to a full
day sightseeing of the
town which includes, tour of Forest Museum
(closed on Thursday), Deolo Hill, Dr. Grahams
Homes School, Durpin
Monastery, Mangal Dham
and Pine View Nursery
(cactus only). Overnight
stay at Kalimpong.
Day 05: Kalimpong-Gangtok
(5500 Ft /1677 Mts
/85 Kms / 03 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel you will be transferred to
Gangtok. Upon arrival,
proceed for check-in at
hotel. The evening is
free for leisure and
shopping. Overnight stay
at Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel you will depart for half day city
tour of Gangtok. This
includes Directorate of
Handicrafts and
Handlooms, Research
Institute of Tibetology,
Dro-drul Chorten
(Stupa, built by the
venerable Trulshi
Rimpoche, head of the
Nyingma order of Tibetan
Buddhism, in 1945),Enchey
Monastry, White Hall,
Flower Show, Ban - Jhakri Water falls
(Ban literally means
forest or jungle, and Jhakri means healer),
Rumtek Monastery (the
seat of the Karmapa
Rimpoche, head of the
Karmapa sub-sect of the
Kargyudpa order of
Tibetan Buddhism),
Botanical
Garden, Ganesh Tok,
Hanuman Tok and Tashi
View Point. Overnight
stay at Gangtok.
Day 07: Excursion to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir
(12400Ft / 3780 Mts /
43Kms / 3Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel
you will depart for full
day sight seeing of
Tshangu Lake and Baba
Mandir. (Nathu La Pass
is nearly 20 Kms and is
an optional tour). Return to Gangtok in the evening
for an overnight stay at
hotel.
Tshangu Lake:
is one of the most
popular destinations for
tourists; it is located
at 43 km from Gangtok.
The lake is about 1km
long, oval in shape, 15
metres deep and is
considered sacred by the
local people. This
placid lake remains
frozen during the winter
months. On the
way to the Lake, you
will enjoy beautiful
scenery and snow capped
mountains. The cool
water of the Lake is
perfectly attuned with
the scenic beauty around.
(In case of Land slide or any other reason
Tshangu Lake is closed
we will provide
alternate sightseeing).
Day 08: Gangtok-NJP
Railway Station /
Bagdogra Airport
(135 Kms / 4½-
5 Hrs).
After breakfast at hotel transfer to NJP Railway Station/
Bagdogra Airport for
your onward journey.
As you go home let the
everlasting memory of
the radiant Himalayas
and this beautiful
serene place linger in
your mind and prompt you
now and again to revisit
this place.
